Quiet Company

Quiet Company, led by Taylor Glen Muse, is one man's vision brought to life with a little help from his friends. Hailing from Austin, Texas, Taylor Muse already has years of experience under his young belt, having fronted and played in many bands, including an early version of Eisley. After the break-up of his last band, The Connotations, Taylor hoped to complete an album of collected contributions from his extensive cast of musician friends. Instead, he played nearly everything himself, and ended up with a very personal and visionary endeavor entitled "Shine Honesty." By the end of it all, you may be uncomfortably aware of exactly who he loves, who he hates, and how he feels about them all.
After the release of their critically acclaimed first record, "Shine Honesty," Austin's Quiet Company took to the road for over 200 shows all across the U.S. The video for "Fashionabel," by Emmy nominated director Cameron McCasland, won several film festival awards and was added to rotation by MTV.CA. During that time songwriter Taylor Muse began recording demos that would later become "Everyone You Love Will Be Happy Soon."
Soon after the tour the band sought and achieved release from their agreement with Northern Records and began making plans to release their new record by themselves. Now, almost three years in the making, the proudly present to you, "Everyone You Love Will Be Happy Soon". Lyrically, the record promises songs that will make you fall in love with life and then just as quickly challenge everything you know about it. With 15 songs equaling an hour of music, Quiet Company tells tales of love, death, and frustration with the world we're forced to live in. Though always uplifting, the songs range form the raucously energetic to the beautifully intimate and never go without melodies that are immediately haunting and infectious.

My Education

Since forming in 1999, the membership of My Education has expanded and contracted while their sonic landscapes have grown with each release - 5 full length albums, several singles, compilation appearances, and a 12" vinyl collaboration with avant-hip hop duo Dalek. Recordings have been remixed by members of bands Kinski, Pelican, the Red Sparrowes and Dalek. Albums include 5 Popes, Italian, Moody Dipper, Bad Vibrations and the latest - Sunrise - out on Strange Attractors Audio House in the USA & Canada.
Sunrise, a new album of pieces from their original score for F.W. Murnau's 1927 silent masterpiece "Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans", finds the band in peak form . Having perfected the material with live film performances over the last two years with sold out shows across the USA, My Education has captured 40 plus minutes of a soundtrack to the long dark night of the soul. Sunrise is an aural experience that is original and unique. This soundtrack finds parallels with the soundscapes Popol Vuh created for Werner Herzog's films. All told, this is their most diverse and mature release to date.
Several tours throughout the country have kept fans abuzz with My Education's unique blend of drones and tones. The music of My Education takes you on a journey of mischief & mayhem - from sunset to Sunrise.

Speak

Forever questing for innovation, SPEAK invoke timeless melodies in energetic, synth-laden anthems.
Frontman Troupe Gammage has been recording music since age 11. Mesmerized by the compositions in his favorite video games, he started creating his own using rudimentary computer software. Developing his sound through his study of electronic music and observation of his musician parents (Ernie Gammage and Christine Albert) and the Motown collection at home, Troupe released his first EP at age 16. He went on to release two more albums online garnering over 25,000 downloads to date. Gammage spent a year in University of Southern California’s music composition program before moving to Austin to pursue video game composition and voice acting.
After co-founding his own production company and gaining solid footing in the business through work on games for Playstation, XBox, Wii, and PC, Troupe has shifted his focus to pop powerhouse SPEAK. The band met through mutual friends in 2008, rising from the remnants of electro-pop band Jupiter-4. With Gammage join University of Texas students Nick Hurt (guitar) Joey Delahoussaye (bass) and Jake Stewart (drums). Hurt and Delahoussaye are guitar performance majors.
Since then, SPEAK has signed to Playing in Traffic Records and recorded their debut EP with producer Chris “Frenchie” Smith (JET, Dandy Warhols). Through Smith, Troupe landed a gig recording keys for JET’s new album Shaka Rock.
The band’s debut album EP, “Hear Here” has garnered serious attention, receiving highest 4-star honors from the Austin Chronicle, and great reviews across the board. Recently SPEAK was named Best New Band by the Austin Music Awards.
What people are saying about “Hear Here”
Austin Chronicle (4/4 stars) “[Hear Here is] poised to change the musical landscape…crank up the volume: The future just got a lot brighter”
AV Club (B+) “Smooth electronic seduction, spiked with a little venom”
Austinist “swimming in synth and innovative pop melodies”
